Hoffmann Dovetail Keys, size W-4, are our largest current size for special woodworking applications, including miter joints, butt joints, compound miter joints and end-to-end joints. The W-4 Dovetail Keys are much larger in both width and height compared to W-3 Dovetail Keys, and are capable of exerting significantly more clamping pressure and holding strength. Typical uses include post and beam construction, curtain wall systems, sunrooms, patio covering structures, heavy timber joinery, sauna and steam-room assembly, outdoor furniture and park benches, commercial projects, large window and door systems, etc.
